Chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes and respiratory disease (COPD) are the leading causes of death and disability in the United Sates. Many chronic diseases are caused by risk behaviors such as tobacco use, poor nutrition, lack of physical activity and excessive alcohol use. 90% of the nation's $3.3 trillion in annual health care expenditures are for people with chronic conditions.

ATX Therapeutics is part of a new breed of digital health companies pioneering development of digital therapeutics for the management of chronic health conditions.
Digital therapeutics (DTx) are a new category of evidence-based products within the broader digital health landscape. DTx are designed to integrate into patient lifestyles and provider workflows to deliver a fully integrated healthcare experience with improved health and financial outcomes.
We create digital health products (digital therapeutics) for healthcare consumers and their care providers to better manage specific chronic health diseases and their associated risk factors. Chronic diseases are broadly defined as conditions that last one year or more and require ongoing medical attention and/or limit activities of daily living. Specifically, our products are aimed at addressing known health risk behaviors which can cause chronic diseases and which can be addressed through digital interventions that lead to healthy behavior change.
Our initial product is under active development and will be released for iOS and Android devices in Fall 2019.
